In an effort to educate the public and to curb the rising rate of identity theft, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and the Tallahassee-Leon Federal Credit Union is sponsoring a Shred Day for the community.
This event is free and open to the public to assist in shredding personally sensitive records and documents.
Paper-based documents will be accepted for free with a preferred limit of 3 boxes or bags per person. There is no need to remove staples, paper clips or file folders.
In addition, secure destruction of hard drives and recycling of electronics will be provided for a fee.
Your paper items will be shredded at no charge.
This service is for residential shredding only.
