Questions About Our Shredding Service?
What do you do with the shredded paper?
100% of the paper we shred is recycled and then used to make other paper products. With our state-of-the-art and certified shred plant, all paper is processed on our premises whether serviced by our mobile or box trucks. No paper gets outsourced or sent to the landfill. SRS controls the entire waste stream, shredding paper to 1/8” per the industry’s most stringent standards, then baling, loading and transporting the shredded material directly from our plant to the recycler to acid wash and turn into tissue paper.
Do you destroy anything besides paper?
In addition to all types of paper, we destroy and recycle most types of media including hard drives, tapes, CDs and discs. Give us a call and we will help you find a solution for all your destruction and recycling needs.
What time will the shredding occur on my scheduled date of service?
It is hard to predict the exact time due to our client’s needs. We never rush a client when they are being serviced and stay to make sure the work is done right and to their standards. Our team will call an hour out to ensure the time works for you.
What do you charge? What is the price per pound?
It depends. Every client’s situation is unique. Factors involved in pricing include the type of service needed, the frequency, volume, complexity, type and number of shredding consoles needed, and the type of shredding needed (onsite vs. offsite). Please give us a call and one of our Solutions Managers will find the most cost-effective option to suit your shredding needs.
How does your shredding service work?
For recurring (or ongoing) shredding, we deliver your choice of a free, secured lockable console to your office. Your documents are inserted into a slot on the secured container(s) where they are safeguarded until your scheduled service visit. On your scheduled service day, a uniformed SRS professional will arrive at your location to securely collect the contents from your locked container(s). Documents will be securely destroyed onsite via our Mobile Shred Trucks or securely transported back to our certified shred plant for destruction. The number of containers and frequency of service depends on your volume, which we can monitor and adjust overtime as you are getting started.
How do I know my documents will be safe? Are you certified?
SRS is proudly NAID AAA Certified, the records industry’s highest standard. To maintain our certification, we participate in both scheduled and unannounced audits. NAID reviews more than 20 areas of our operational and security practices including particle size, transport, access control, video surveillance, procedures, record keeping and employee screening and training. We are one of the few vendors in the state of Georgia with Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s GCIC Accreditation. This certification is a requirement for any vendors working with law enforcement and judicial organizations. This includes the requirement for state and national fingerprint-based background checks and drug screenings for all employees involved in the administration and access of criminal justice information (CJI) within the state of Georgia.
