Questions & Answers

What was the best example of thinking outside the box?

One client had a basement flood, which ruined all of their records. We had to figure out how to get all of the paper through a narrow basement staircase. We built a ramp and used a winch to bring up wet, moldy records to remove them for destruction. We rarely say no; instead, we think of ways to get the job done for our clients.

What was your best business or career decision?

Not asking for permission. Whenever I saw a need here at SRS, I didn’t ask permission or wait for a superior to tell me to do something, I just took the initiative. This has allowed me to move up the ladder really fast over the last eight years.

How does the work you do make a difference?

My work helps create value for our clients, but it also helps develop newer employees and creates opportunities for them. I bring a spirit and laughter to the office, or maybe I’m just funny to myself!

Where are you likely to be found when not working?

On an open body of water, the woods or at home.
