Christopher Powell Jones of Thomasville, Georgia was named one of Georgia’s top 40 under 40by Georgia Trendmagazine. This annual list honors Georgians under age 40 for notable contributions to their professions, community and state.
“I am honored and humbled to be selected for Georgia Trend’s2020 list of Georgia’s top 40 Under 40,” says Jones. “In this year of uncertainty, it was a big lift for me personally as well as the entire Secure Records Team to be included with so many leaders across the state.”
Christopher is a partner and Chief Operating Officer of Secure Records Solutions. Since joining his father, Powell, in 2011, Christopher has built upon the original vision of SRS to include five different service lines. His specialties include management consulting, electronic content management software conversions, and business process outsourcing related to records management, document scanning, and shredding. This growth has resulted in double digit growth year-over-year and the creation of 25 new jobs for residents of Thomas County and the surrounding areas of southwest Georgia. Today, SRS serves over 900 clients across 48 states from its Thomasville, Georgia headquarters.
Christopher’s reputation for problem solving and innovative thinking extends to his professional and non-profit involvement. In 2018, Christopher was elected president of PRISM International where he completed a successful merger with NAID to form I-SIGMA, the largest RIM association with thousands of members worldwide. In May, he completed a two-year term as co-President of I-SIGMA and continues to serve as on its board of directors. Christopher is also a member of IGEL, the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership, a program dedicated to creating more sustainable practices and solving environmental challenges within the state of Georgia, and was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
Winners of Georgia Trend’stop 40 under 40 were selected by the magazine from nominations made by readers. In making the selections, Georgia Trend considered professional achievement and community service.
