WHAT IS SCHEDULED SHREDDING?
Document shredding is the most secure way to dispose of confidential records at the end of their life. Our team can help you determine the most efficient, timely, and cost effective method of destroying your confidential documents that have met their retention requirements.
A consistent schedule will be more effective. Our team will evaluate your business’s needs and come up with a schedule that works with your paper production. And it makes it automatic, meaning your staff doesn’t have to do anything except let our friendly, uniformed driver in the door. Typically, clients are serviced weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Some clients begin on an “on-call” service to test out but move to regularly-scheduled within a few visits.
Our scheduled shredding service maximizes compliance by providing your team with locking bins to securely store confidential documents they are ready to destroy. This prevents careless storage of sensitive files in open cardboard boxes and frees up your staff’s time for more important matters.
Mobile v. Offsite Shredding
The choice is yours! We can either perform the purge destruction on site while you watch or we can take it back to our secure facility. Both are NAID AAA-certified, meaning both adhere to the industry’s most stringent regulations, and both utilize state of the art shredding equipment. And with either method, you’ll receive a certificate of destruction once your documents are destroyed.
What types of businesses utilizes scheduled shredding?
Any business that deals with confidential information should utilize scheduled shredding. Law firms, accountants and CPAs, businesses, manufacturers, healthcare providers, and educational facilities, to name a few industries, use SRS on a regular basis. In fact, SRS now serves nearly 900 clients in a ~100 mile radius of our Thomasville, GA headquarters for regularly scheduled shred service.
“No Touch Shred Service”
At the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, we made the decision to serve healthcare clients with “No Touch Shred Service,” where we provide a 96-gallon bin to businesses to serve their own internal collection bins. A staff member can use this rolling bin to empty your shredding consoles, then place it outside your door to be shredded when our driver arrives. This eliminates any unnecessary entrants into the office, thereby lessening exposure of your office staff and our drivers. With the continued risks associated with COVID-19, SRS made the decision to offer this “No Touch Shred Service” to all clients. That service continues to this day.
Rest assured, whether you choose the “No Touch Shred Service” or continue with the traditional method, we are taking extra precautions, including wearing masks and gloves, and sanitizing all bins, shoes and hands after each service. Please visit our website for continued updates on our procedures.
There are many other ways we are helping clients navigate these unprecedented times, including providing “scan on demand” digital delivery of hard copy records for clients working remotely. We continue to look for ways to deliver solutions that will support you during this crisis and create long-term efficiencies for your business. Please let us know if you are interested in learning more about any of these solutions.
SRS offers a variety of shred containers and sizes to best fit your business’s shredding needs. See below for dimensions and capacity, or call one of our sales associates for help determining the best solution.
