Our commitment to sustainability is a cornerstone of our business, and the SRS shredding division is excited to announce that we have hit a recycling milestone. Over the last year, we have recycled 1.5 Million pounds of paper!

According to the University of Southern Indiana, recycling one ton of paper can save “17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space, 4000 kilowatts of energy, and 7000 gallons of water. This represents a 64% energy savings, a 58% water savings, and 60 pounds less of air pollution.” We did that 750 times!

We believe that sustainability means efficiency, and we promote it throughout our organization, and in all of our client relationships. Our shredding clients know that we can help account for the volume of their organization’s environmental impact based on the volume of business they do with us each year. If it is important to you to document what your organization is doing for the environment, contact our team to discuss a security and waste audit.
