CPAs and Accountants have had a very busy 2020. In the wake of COVID-19, the Federal Reserve and the Internal Revenue Service pushed back Tax Day from April 15 to July 15. Despite the extension, there is no rest for the weary for CPAs, most of whom have been inundated with paperwork related to the CARES program and Payment Protection Act. Let’s not forget the other stresses related to the pandemic, namely, throwing in remote work and maybe even homeschooling children. Needless to say, CPAs have been drowning in work – and paper records – as a result.

At Secure Records Solutions, we serve many CPA and accountant clients in Tallahassee, Bainbridge, Valdosta, Thomasville, and Moultrie, and other cities in Southwest Georgia with our regular shred program. But extremely busy seasons, such as the ones we mentioned above, may warrant a one-time purge to get rid of many documents at once.

There are many advantages to scheduling a one-time purge to rid your business of excess paper.

Compliance

Large volumes of paper unsecured can leave a business vulnerable to a breach. Many – some studies report upwards of 90% – of data breaches are caused by human error. Leaving paper documents out in the open is a surefire way to open your company up to liabilities. As a NAID AAA-certified provider, we hold the industry’s “gold standard” for information destruction.

Convenience

Secure Records Solutions is equipped with an industrial strength shredder to destroy hundreds of pounds of paper in less than an hour. Imagine how long it would take you to accomplish the same volume on a desktop shredder! Furthermore, you can choose when you want the destruction to occur and which shredding solution you prefer: mobile or off-site. We can either perform the purge destruction on site while you watch, or we can take it back to our secure facility. Both are NAID AAA-certified, meaning both adhere to the industry’s most stringent regulations, and both utilize state of the art shredding equipment. And with either method, you’ll receive a certificate of destruction once your documents are destroyed.

Cost Certainty

Our pricing is very straight forward. We never surprise you with hidden charges. You simply pay for the number of our shredding containers, and the rate per container is based on the volume of paper you have to destroy. For a one-time purge service, we supply our bins that hold the equivalent of about 10 small file boxes or 5 legal file boxes or 4 file cabinet draws.

As Benjamin Franklin once quipped, “nothing is certain in life except death and taxes,” and no one appreciates that more than our CPAs and accountants.

If your CPA practice is inundated with paper after Tax Day 2020, please give Secure Records Solutions a call. We’ll be happy to schedule a purge day at your convenience.
